Photo Consent — Scavenger Hunt

Nordbahnviertel Walking Tour · FHWien der WKW

What this is about

During this walking tour, you are invited to take photographs at several stations and upload them to a shared Google Photos album. This is entirely voluntary. Your participation in the quiz and the walk does not require uploading any photos.

What data is collected

If you choose to upload photos to the shared album, the following data may be processed:

Photographs you take and voluntarily upload

Your Google account name (visible to other album participants as the uploader)

Image metadata (date, time, device info, GPS coordinates if enabled on your phone)

Purpose and legal basis

The photos are collected for educational purposes — to document observations during the walking tour and to support group discussion at Station 7. The legal basis is your voluntary consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Who can see the photos

The shared album is accessible to all participants of this walking tour who have the link. The album is hosted by Google LLC (Google Photos). Google's privacy policy applies to the platform: policies.google.com/privacy

Photos of people

Please do not photograph recognisable faces of other participants or bystanders without their explicit permission. The photo tasks ask you to photograph buildings, streets, and urban spaces — not people. If people appear incidentally in your photos, they should not be the focus or identifiable.

Storage and deletion

The shared album will remain accessible for the duration of the course. After the course ends, the album will be deleted or access will be revoked. You can delete your own uploads at any time directly in Google Photos.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

Withdraw consent at any time — simply do not upload, or delete your photos

Request access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)

Request deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
